Athlete Showcase: Bre Love

Bre Love is a sophomore on the Niles varsity volleyball team.

 

What has been one of your biggest

disappointments as an athlete?

BL: Losing when we should have won.

What has been one of your greatest

accomplishments as an athlete?

BL: Being a starting libero as a freshman on varsity.

What has been a hardship in your life?

BL: When my granny died.

Who is a “hero” in your life and why?

BL: My mom, because she’s my No. 1 supporter.

When are you the most nervous while you are competing?

BL: When we are down by two in the fifth set.

Describe an embarrassing athletic

moment?

BL: Messing up game point.

How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?

BL: I run and do little workouts.

What other sport would you like to

compete in if you were not playing yours?

BL: Track.

Who would you say is your “biggest fan?” Why?

BL: My mother, because she never puts me down.

How would you give away $50,000?

BL: I would give it to a cancer foundation.

If you could be the head coach of a team for a year, what team would you choose?

BL: Michigan State volleyball.

If I did not play sports, I would…?

BL: I would read and hang more with friends.

What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?

BL: Always diving on the floor.

If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?

BL: That you could be in the net.

What is the best compliment you have ever received?

BL: You’re cold at volleyball.

What was the scariest thing you have had to do? Are you glad you did it?

BL: I had to tell my mom I lied and yes, very happy.

What was the last thing you saw someone do that really impressed you?

BL: I saw someone not give up on a ball and saved it.

What is your favorite hobby? Why?

BL: Taking a nap and eating because I love doing those things.
