The Niles-Buchanan YMCA Learning Tree Preschool has a few openings in the afternoon class for the 2015-2016 school year. This program is designed for children ages 4 to 5, with a birthday on or before Sept. 1, 2015.

Class is held 1 to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the Niles-Buchanan YMCA located at 905 Front Street in Niles, Michigan and classes begin the week of Sept. 14.

The goal of this program is to provide children with the skills they need to enter kindergarten.

The preschool provides initial school experiences, while giving the children the academic foundation to build further academic skills. Children of the Learning Tree Preschool get the benefits of one-on-one YMCA swim lessons, work on developing gross motor education in the gym class, and nutrition education from a registered dietitian.
