A Cassopolis man has died after jumping from a vehicle during a fight with a Niles woman Friday, according to a release from the Cass County Sheriff’s Department.

According to the release, Drake Brewer, 21, was airlifted to Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, where he died as a result from his injuries.

Witnesses confirmed Friday that Brewer jumped from the vehicle during a fight with Abigail Smith, 20, of Niles.

No other injuries were reported, and the incident is still under investigation.
