Mary Ellen Skripek, 84, of Decatur, passed away at 12:20 a.m., Thursday, July 29, 2015, at Wings of Hope Hospice in Allegan.

Surviving loved ones include two sisters, Barbara Ronane and Eleanor Lupier, both of Arkansas; her lifelong friend, Joan Robb; her sister-in-law Emmy Skripek and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Celia, and both brothers Bob, Bill, Ray and John.

Mary was born in Chicago and moved to Finch Lake in 1970. She worked at the Dowagiac Daily News as circulation manager, and also worked at the Edward Lowe Foundation.
