Allan D. Haskins, 68, of Dowagiac, Michigan, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015, in Elkhart, Indiana.

Allan was born April 16, 1947, in Dowagiac, Michigan to David W. and Ida M. (Heskett) Haskins. Allan graduated from Dowagiac Union High School in 1965. He began working as a timekeeper for Rudy Manufacturing during his senior year of school. Allan then began working at Elkhart General Hospital in the payroll department. He eventually went to work for Simplicity Pattern Company, also in the payroll department, retiring in 2009. Allan was very serious and meticulous about his work. He was a past member of the Dowagiac Eagles Club. Allan did not let his physical disability stop him from wrestling while in school. He also enjoyed hunting in his younger years. Allan enjoyed taking long drives throughout the countryside. Allan loved his family and enjoyed having his nieces and nephews around.

Allan is survived by his brother Dennis (Elizabeth) Haskins of Glen Burnie, Maralynd and his sister Pamela (Dale) Hutchings of Dowagiac; a nephew Chad (Laura) Hutchings of Dowagiac and a niece Sara (Chad) Tyrakowski of Dowagiac; great nieces and nephews, Kayleigh Hutchings of Kalamazoo, Landon Hutchings of Battle Creek, Taylor Hutchings of Portage, Michigan and Nikalus Hutchings of Dowagiac; step-nephews, David Boyer Jr. of Portland, Maryland and John Boyer of Glen Burnie, Maryland; and a lifetime friend Sara (Rowe) Curry of Elkhart, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents.
