Bobcats, Eddies earn academic all-state in tennis

The Brandywine girls tennis team has earned Division 4 Academic All-State honors from the Michigan High School Tennis Coaches Association, led by co-valedictorians Abbey Cole and Krystal Bunch.

Edwardsburg earned Division 3 Academic All-State honors.

The Bobcats went 16-0 and captured the BCS Athletic Conference championship before winning its sixth regional championship in the last nine years.

At the state finals, Brandywine finished 12th.

The Eddies were the Wolverine Conference West Division champions and finished second at the Division 3 regional to advance to the state finals where it also finished 12th.

To earn academic all-state honors, a team must have at least a 3.25 GPA.

The Bobcats had a GPA of 3.51. The Eddies had a GPA of 3.65.
