Lawrence Harvey Searer,85, of Jones, died peacefully Monday afternoon, Feb. 2, 2015 in Fairview Living Centre, Centreville.

He was born Feb. 28, 1929, in Jones, Michigan to Orlando and Florence (Withers) Searer. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Norman Searer; two half-sisters, Bernice Cox and Vena Trout; and one half brother, Nolan Searer.

Larry loved to play bingo, and liked to hunt and fish.

Lawrence will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by one sister, Genevieve Millard of Mendon, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the Graveside in Poe Cemetery in Newberg Township, where Mr. Searer’s remains will be laid to rest next to his brother, Norman Searer.

In recognition of the excellent care that was extended to Lawrence, the family prefers that memorial contributions be made in his name to Fairview Living Centre, 441 East Main Street, Centreville, Michigan 49032.
