The Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle that was allegedly used in a hit-and-run involving a cyclist April 28.

A 44-year-old cyclist was westbound on May Street when he was struck by a vehicle.

The cyclist suffered substantial lacerations and contusions. The vehicle immediately fled the scene westbound on May Street and then turned North on Garver Lake Road. The suspect is unidentified at this time.

Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg Police Department is looking for assistance in identifying the vehicle and/or occupants of the suspect vehicle. The suspect vehicle has been identified as a 2006-2010 Jeep Commander, black in color with chrome rims. The vehicle will have damage to the passenger side rear view mirror and possibly the right front quarter and passenger door. Picture is attached.
