Eddies tighten grip on Wolverine West lead

Host Edwardsburg continued to build on its Wolverine West Division golf lead by winning Monday’s jamboree it hosted at Four Lakes Country Club.

The Eddies shot 177 to easily defeat runner-up Paw Paw, which shot 184. Dowagiac finished a shot back in third, while South Haven was a distant fourth after shooting 196.

Coloma and Berrien Springs tied at 197, but the Comets earned fifth place based on the fifth-man score tiebreaker.

The Eddies’ Carter Goodson tied with Paw Paw’s Nick Harvey for medalist as both shot a one-over par 37.

Dowagiac was led by Jordan Hagemann, who shot 44 for the Chieftains.
