Bobcats improve to 4-0 in BCS West

BRIDGMAN — Visiting Brandywine remained undefeated in BCS Athletic Conference West Division baseball with a sweep of Bridgman Friday.

The Bobcats (9-1, 4-0 West) defeated the Bees (3-7) 5-1 and 3-0.

Toby Fox scattered six hits, allowed just one run, struck out seven and did not walk a batter in picking up the mound victory for Brandywine in the opening game.

Fox also doubled and drove in two runs, while Cole Searles doubled and drove in a run. Brady Duval was 2-for-4 with a triple.

In the nightcap, Matt Vaughn tossed a one-hitter with six strikeouts to earn the win.

Brandywine scored three runs on three hits, including a triple by Seth Brown. Fox singled and drove in a run for the Bobcats.
