Nov. 15, 1934 — April 18, 2015

Katharina “Miss Kitty” Nelson, age 80, of Vandalia, Michigan died peacefully Saturday, April 18, 2015, in Cass County Medical Care facility.

She was born November 15, 1934 in Munich, Germany. She married Robert Nelson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister and two brothers.

Katharina worked in her father’s construction company as a child. She learned carpentry. She was able to remodel her own home even building her own kitchen cabinets. She loved her home and her garden.

Katharina will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by one daughter, Marla Nelson of Chicago, Illinois; one son, Koebee Nelson of Coldwater; two granddaughters, Makeesha Nelson, Mikayla Nelson; three grandsons, Marsai Nelson, Koebee Nelson, Jr., Brian Nelson; and her cat, Mischevious. Miss Kitty was especially fond of her neighbors around Vandalia, Michigan and Paradise Lake.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 23247 Hospital Street, Cassopolis. Mrs. Nelson’s remains will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony.
