The City of Niles reported a possible scam Monday afternoon via its text message alert system.

In the message, the city said the Niles Police Department received reports from residents who said that notes claiming to be from Comcast were left on their doors. Police said the notes are not from Comcast and that people should not let anyone into their home without verifying first with Comcast.

Residents who see someone post one of these notices are advised to call the Niles Police Department at (269) 683-1313.
