Bridgman wins BCS West jamboree

BRIDGMAN — Host Bridgman snapped Lake Michigan Catholic’s hold on first place in the BCS Athletic Conference West Division golf race Tuesday.

The Bees, led by medalist Nick Knowlton’s 35, shot 166 as a team to easily defeat the runner-up Lakers, who finished with a 178.

New Buffalo was third with a 179, Brandywine fourth with a 180 and Buchanan fifth with a 196.

Chance Smith led the Bobcats with a 40.

Derek Wismer led the Bucks with a 44.
