Wilton “Dutch” Kenneth Hand, 87, of Buchanan, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015, at his home.

Wilton was born on March 4, 1928, to the late Isaac and Sarah Hand in Damascus, Virginia. He was a United States Navy Veteran and served in World War II.

Wilton was married to Mamie Hand, who preceded him in death in 1995. From this union came three children, Connie (Mike) Davis of Granger, Indiana and Donnie (Valerie) Hand of Niles; four grandchildren, Jarrod Hand, Kimberly (Tim) Mann, Kenneth (Angela) Whitaker and Kayla Jarman; four great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Whitaker, Olivia Hensley, Elijah Hensley and Rachel Hensley and one great-great-grandchild, Alex Whitaker.

In addition to Wilton’s parents and Mamie, he is preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Hand, great grandchild, Chloe Hensley; four brothers and two sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan with Rev. Monte Brunner from Hope Community Church officiating.
