Willa Virginia Beathea, 90, of East Point, Georgia, formerly of Cassopolis, died peacefully Wednesday, April 8, 2015, in her daughter’s residence.

She was born October 1, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois to William and Missouri (Prude) Turner. She married Winston Beathea. Willa was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one son, Reginald Beathea.

Willa worked for Simplicity Pattern Company. She also served as an Election Inspector for Calvin Township.

Willa will be greatly missed by family and friends. She leaves to mourn her passing her only daughter, Iris Beathea of East Point, Georgia.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, April 11, 2015, from 4 p.m. until time of service at 5 p.m. in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway Street, Cassopolis, with the Reverend Leozie Broadnax officiating. Mrs. Beathea will be laid to rest in Calvin Township Cemetery.
