Cass County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a person injury accident, which occurred on M-62 near Davis Lake Street in Jefferson Township Wednesday.

The investigation showed that a Chevy Tracker, driven by Joshua Shults, 30, of Cassopolis, lost control on the wet roadway and crossed the centerline. Shults’ vehicle spun into the path of a 2015 GMC Denali pick-up driven by John Raab, 66, of Edwardsburg.

Both vehicles left the roadway after the crash, which occurred at 3:20 p.m.

Shults was injured in the crash and was transported to St. Joe Med Center by LifeCare Ambulance. Raab wasn’t injured. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and alcohol wasn’t a factor in the crash.

Assisting on scene were LifeCare Ambulance and Edwardsburg Fire Dept.
