Community Health and Wellness of Lakeland Health offers a free series of classes on a variety of health topics for men and women on the second Tuesday of each month at the Benton Harbor Public Library.

Following each presentation, free health screenings will be available, including blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), and waist measurement.

The series continues on April 14 with Preventing Diabetes. In this class, participants will gain a greater understanding of diabetes, including risk factors and the lifestyle changes that can help prevent this disease.

It will take place from 11 a.m. to noon at the Benton Harbor Public Library, 213 E. Wall St.

Preregistration is preferred, but not required; walk-ins are welcome. For more information or to register, call (269) 556-2808 or (866) 260-7544. Visit www.lakelandhealth.org or find Lakeland Health on Facebook or Twitter for more classes and events.
