Visiting South Haven used its depth to sweep Dowagiac in the season and Wolverine Conference opener for both schools.

The Rams defeated the Chieftains 88-34 in the girl’s portion of the meet, while the boys were a 92-40 victor.

Rosadio Murray picked up a pair of wins for the Dowagiac girls team. She won the long jump with a leap of 16-feet and the 300 hurdles (51.62).

Nijah Russell won both the 100- and 200-meters with times of 12.41 and 27.25 respectively.

Dowagiac also won the 3,200-meter relay with the team of Katie Murphy, Marissa Castenada, Sophia Stockwell and Jessica Robison. They ran a time of 13:03.6.

Kandice Coleman won the 100 hurdles with a time of 21.46.

Leroy Lewis and Caleb Zimmerman were dual winners for the boys team.

Lewis won the high jump with a height of 6-feet and Zimmerman won the 300 hurdles with a time of 43.37.

Lewis and Zimmerman joined with Kevin Whitaker and B.J. Gatson to win the 800-meter relay with a time of 1:37.9.

Kris Kinyon-Wygent won the pole vault with a height of 8-feet.
