Taylor LeRoy “Babe” Sallee, 76, of Niles, born Aug. 6, 1938, passed away on March 26, 2015, in South Bend, Indiana, of natural causes.

Taylor married Sally Lynn (Roberts) Smith on Oct. 31, 1973. Salley preceded him in death on Jan. 10, 1993.

Taylor “Babe” and Sally are survived by two sons, Steven Sallee and Bradley Sallee both of Niles; stepchildren, Ronald Smith of South Bend and Sheila Riffel of Niles; brothers, John (Patricia) Sallee of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Cecil Sallee of Michigan, Bill Sallee of Niles, Verne ( Beverly) VanSandt of Niles, Rex (Linda) VanSandt of Niles, and Jim Snyder of Niles; three grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and three step great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his wife, Doris (Bush) Sallee. Taylor married Doris on August 6, 1994.

Taylor loved fishing, watching football and auto racing, and listening to country music.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Taylor VanSandt and Neva Illiff; brothers, Eugene Sallee of Florida, Garry Sallee of Niles, and Richard “Dick” VanSandt of Niles.
