Niles High School senior Adam Noble finished in seventh place at the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference, which took place Thursday through Saturday in Grand Rapids.

Noble, who serves as his school’s BPA president, earned one of the top spots in the category of Fundamental Desktop Publishing, which evaluates a person’s knowledge and skills in using desktop publishing software to create a variety of business documents.

BPA is a youth organization that provides leadership and business opportunities for high school students to prepare them in their selection as they make decisions on their future careers. The skills that students learn through participating in a variety of business experiences are beneficial and will help prepare them for a career in the workforce.

Kristen West, Alex Kelley, Allyson Rouse, Riley Delinski, Rachel Mackey and Derek Brown also participated in the state conference for Niles High School.

The competition included 2,200 students from across the state.
