Robert E. Cronheim, “B.C.,” 81, of Edwardsburg, died Saturday, March 14, 2015, in the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart.

He was born August 7, 1933, in Grandville, Michigan to Albert and June (Cooper) Cronheim. His parents preceded him in death. He was also preceded by two sisters, Evelyn Guy and Mary Bosworth.

Bob served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He enjoyed politics and political discussions. BC liked the MSU Spartans and the Detroit Lions. He walked 3.7 miles every day with his walking stick and dog biscuits in his pocket. BC liked nature and the outdoors. He loved his family, and the grandchildren knew that Grampa BC was a character. He was known for his laughter and his joking.

Robert will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by four daughters, Debra (Phill) Jacquez of Mesa, Arizona, Cristine Berns of Lansing, Michigan, Merry Svadlena of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, Amy (Mark) Peterson of Cadillac, Michigan; 10 grandchildren, Joseph Jacquez, Steven Jacquez, Monique Jacquez, Bridget Berns, Courtney Berns, Rachel Svadlena, Katrin Svadlena, Max Svadlena, Ryan Peterson, Lindsay Peterson; one sister, Phyllis Cronheim of Belmont, Michigan; one brother, Albert Cronheim of Grandville, Michigan; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather for a Graveside Service Tuesday, March 24, at 11 a.m. in Fort Custer in Battle Creek, Michigan when Mr. Cronheim will be accorded Military Honors.
