Brenda Sue Pond, 64 of Dowagiac passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at her home. She was born Aug. 1, 1950, in Kennett, Missouri to the late Donald and Sarah Smith. On June 15, 1968, Brenda married Leroy Pond at Victory Tabernacle in Dowagiac. Brenda was a lifelong member of Victory Tabernacle, where she served as secretary to the pastor for 30 years. She loved her family, grandchildren, and dogs.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Leroy Pond; children, Sheila Williams, David (Tamara) Pond, and Chad (Stacey) Pond; siblings, Sharon (Paul) Hodge, Patricia (Bill) Gundersen, and Donald (Linda) Smith; grandchildren, Tiffany Hisler, Daniel Williams III, Matthew Pond, Darren Pond, Tyler Pond, Hannah Pond, Emmaline Pond, Landon Burkhart, and Carson Jenkins; and four great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Sarah; sister, Cynthia Meegan; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Brenda will be at 1 pm on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Victory Tabernacle of Dowagiac with Rev. James Gibson officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 11-1. Burial will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
