March 24, 1939 — March 10, 2015

Robert Irvin Greer, 75, formerly of Niles, Michigan passed away at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the Golden Living Center, Elkhart, Indiana. Robert was born on March 24, 1939 in Chicago to the late Henry Greer and Harriet Joan (Sanders) Greer and has lived in the Elkhart area since 2013, coming from Niles.

Robert proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. In 1956, he successfully completed Airman School (Class-P) at the Naval Air Technical Training Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Robert was a longtime resident of Niles, Michigan. He was in recovery and a sponsor for AA for over 25 years.

Robert is survived by his son, DeAveveo Greer and good friend and caretaker, Mary Russell. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sidney Greer. Friends and family are encouraged to gather together at 2310 Stevens Ave., Elkhart, IN 46516 to celebrate the going home of Robert Greer on March 21, 2015, from 4 to 7 p.m.
