Niles Community Schools will host its second informational meetings regarding the bond proposals at Ring Lardner Middle School. The meeting is open to parents and the general public and is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17.

The first meeting was March 9.

Superintendent Michael Lindley, will provide critical information and answer questions regarding the Bond vote scheduled for May 5. As communicated to the public throughout the development of the proposals, the bond will focus on four key areas that supporters say are essential to the continued success of the Niles’ school children and the community. These areas include:

• Safety and security

• Energy efficiency

• Technology

• Building and site upgrades

“The physical, emotional and intellectual well-being of all of our students is the primary concern of everyone at Niles Community Schools,” Lindley said. “To ensure our students are learning in an environment that will enable them to maximize their potential, an investment must be made to our buildings today so that our community isn’t suffering the consequences tomorrow. Therefore, I encourage school parents, community residents and business owners to join us for an informative discussion on the May 5 vote.”
