Rebecca “Becky” Sue Chrystler, 53, of Niles, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015 peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Becky was born on September 1, 1961 to Richard and Beverly (Peck) Crettol in Niles, Michigan. Becky was a graduate of Niles High School and Indiana University, South Bend. She loved dogs and was an avid fan of Notre Dame and the Detroit Tigers.

She was preceded in death by her fur babies Brittany, Sparky, and Mac who are with her now in Heaven.

Becky is survived by her parents, Richard and Beverly Crettol of Niles; friend, Pamela Krum of Niles who was by her side as she fought colon cancer, her two fur babies Sierra and Sadie. Becky is also survived by her aunts, Dorothy Goodner of Danville, Illinois and Jo Toll of New Carlisle, Indiana plus several cousins and friends.

Becky and her family would like to thank Dr. Kozuh and his office staff, the nurses at the Niles Infusion Clinic and Dr. Schuhknecht and his office staff for their care and dedication that was above and beyond expectation. They would also like to thank Hospice at Home for their care and compassion.

Memorial donations may be made in Becky’s name to the Cass County Animal Shelter or Hospice at Home.

Funeral services to honor Becky will be on Tuesday, March, 10, 2015 at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel beginning at 2:00 p.m. with a time of visitation two hours prior.
