Retired banker, Olga Frances Eagan Redmond, age 86, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Tuesday evening, Feb. 17, 2015, in her residence with her family beside her.

She was born Jan. 17, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois to Charles and Pearl (Ricard) Eagan. Her parents preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her two beloved brothers, Charles Eagan, II, and John Eagan; and a favorite nephew, Shawn Eagan. She married Marshall Edward Redmond in Saint James Catholic Church in Chicago, Illinois on Flag Day, June 14, 1952.

Olga graduated from Lucy Flower High School in Chicago, Illinois. She earned an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Wilson Junior College and Teachers College in Chicago. Olga later received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration from Roosevelt University in Chicago. She retired from Northern Trust Company at its downtown Chicago location after twenty-five years of service.

Olga and her husband, Marshall, retired to their Cass County, Michigan farm and orchard in 1991. In retirement she was an active volunteer with the Cass County Council on Aging. Olga played the piano and the dulcimer, and enjoyed dancing. She was also an accomplished seamstress.

Olga will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her husband of almost 63 years, Marshall Redmond of Cassopolis; one daughter, Phoebe Redmond, Esq. and son in law Herbert Rawlings, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada; two grandsons, Herbert Rawlings, III, and Marshall Rawlings, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister and brother in law, Sonya and Bruce Brock of Jacksonville, Florida; nieces, Mylah Deliford of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Natasha and husband Scott Skinner of Jacksonville, Florida, Kylah Eagan of Chicago, Illinois; nephews, Charles and wife Jeanette Eagan, III, of Raymore, Missouri, Kevin and wife Patricia Anne Eagan of Fairville Heights, Illinois, Orrin Brock of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a host of grandnieces and grandnephews.

Family and friends will gather at a date and time to be announced for a time of sharing and story telling.

The family prefers memorial contributions in Olga’s name to Cass County Council on Aging, Post Office Box 5, Cassopolis, Michigan 49031.
