Gull Lake takes advantage of Niles scoring woes

The Niles girls basketball team picked a bad night to have trouble scoring.

The results was an easy 54-30 SMAC non-divisional victory for visiting Gull Lake Tuesday night.

The Vikings (9-6) scored just nine points in the first half and trailed 19-9 at the intermission.

Although it played better in the second half, Niles was still outscored 35-21.

Elaina Haase led the Blue Devils (10-5) with 10 points.

Elyse Zimmerman had 12 points to lead Niles and all scorers.
