The Niles Elks Lodge is bringing back its popular Valentine’s Day comedy night.

The event will take place Feb. 14 and feature comedians Jeff MacDonald and Tara Lynn Christenson. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8 a.m.

Tickets are $15 and include a gourmet appetizer buffet and chocolate fountain dessert bar.

The money raised supports the Elks Lodge and its community service projects, including Project Graduation, kids sports leagues, Southside School’s prom and graduation, trunk or treat, a community Easter egg hunt and various projects that support area veterans.

“We are thrilled and excited to have Jeff back this year,” said Julie Clark, trustee at the Elks Lodge. “The show he did last year was amazingly funny — folks are still talking about it. The addition of Tara to the line-up can only make it a more memorable evening.

“Where else can you go to see great comedy and have a delicious meal for $15/person? Tickets are going fast — it’s going to be fantastic.”

McDonald is a nationally-known comedian who has performed with Drew Carey, Jerry Seinfeld, Bob Zany and more. He has been voted the No. 1 comedy writer in Indiana twice and has appeared on numerous local and regional

television shows.

Christenson is from Northwestern Indiana. She has worked with Mick Foley, performed numerous times in Chicago comedy clubs, and made multiple appearances on the Mancow in the Morning radio show in Chicago.
