Niles comes up short against Benton Harbor

BENTON HARBOR — Visiting Niles seemed to be just a step behind the Benton Harbor Tigers all night in a SMAC West Division boys basketball contest.
The Vikings (3-8, 0-5 West) trailed 17-16 after one and 38-32 at halftime.
The Tigers (10-3, 4-1 West) took a 58-51 advantage into the final quarter.
Gabe Stokes led Niles with 19 points, while Dontae Murphy added 12 points.
Benton Harbor’s Curtis Dawson scored a game-high 24 points. Javon Gunn finished with 20.
