Big first half gives Eddies the win

A pair of teams who have struggled to find success this season squared off in a Wolverine Conference West Division contest Thursday night.

Visiting Dowagiac was no match for Edwardsburg in the first half and was defeated by the Eddies 42-30 in girls basketball action.

The Eddies (3-8, 2-4 West) outscored Dowagiac 29-9 in the first half and then cruised home with the win.

Savannah Dixon led all scorers with 16 points for Edwardsburg, which also got 12 points from Katelynn Rogers.

Dowagiac (2-10, 1-5 West) was led by Taylor Hulett’s 11 points.
