Dale Robert Luth, 59, of Dowagiac, departed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, at his home at Sister Lakes, Dowagiac in the presence of his family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at Liberty Chapel Family Worship Center, 309 Dewey Street, Dowagiac with Pastor Mark Saylor and Dr. Richard Murphy officiating. Family and friends will gather and visit at the church from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. after which the service will begin. Private burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Elsie Michigan. Dale was born Jan. 1, 1956, in Saginaw, Michigan to John Dale Luth and Lois Ann Boyer. He married Lucia Brindley in 1975, adding nine children to their union until her death in 2002. Dale was united in marriage to Berit Wray on July 19, 2012 and was blessed with three step-children. He served as a license Minister at Church of the Living Word in Ovid, Michigan until he transitioned to Miracle Center Christian Fellowship in Saginaw, Michigan. Later, he moved his family to Dowagiac (Sister Lakes), Michigan, where he attended Liberty Chapel Pentecostal Church until his departure to Glory. He worked for many years at Green Meadow Farm in Ovid, Michigan. He owned his own business, “Tree of Life Lumber Products”, and ultimately retired from Lowes Corporation in 2014. He received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior during his later teen years and served him faithfully until the time of his transition from earth to heaven. He began to attend church services with Lucia Brindley in 1974 at First Assembly of God in Saginaw, Michigan.

Dale is survived by his mother and step-father Lois Ann Boyer (Robert) Garske, his surrogate father and mentor Dr. Richard Dean Murphy, his wife Berit Luth, his children Todd Michael Luth, Daniel Robert (Angie) Luth, Joshua Mark (Marie) Luth, Rosanne Abdel-Warress, Benjamin Caleb Luth, Rebecca Jane Luth, Holly Jean Luth, and Elijah Luth, one step-daughter Kaylen Nicole Wray, two step-sons Benjamin Peder Wray, and Coen Isaac Wray, and one special son Anthony (Naamah) Heath. One sister Karen Sue Maxwell, four brothers James Alan (Cheryl) Luth, David Michael (Sandy) Luth, Jeffrey Lawrence (Lisa) Luth, and John Henry (Jennifer) Luth. Seven grandchildren; Tyler, Jayden, Aaron, Kyra, Ali, Nissi, and Eden. He also leaves behind several special brothers and sisters, Aunts, Uncles, a host of relatives, and numerous friends. Dale was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, John Dale (Joan) Luth, his wife Lucia Matilda Brindley-Luth, and his son Mathew John Luth.

His time on earth was precious and valuable to the ones impacted by his unwavering dedication to Jesus Christ. Although he was not perfect, he was genuine, loyal, loving and an example of perseverance in the face of great challenge. We love you, Dale… you are profoundly missed, but we will see you again in the presence of Jesus.
