John Leslie White, Jr., 75, of Niles, Michigan died on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at his home. He was born June 30, 1940 in Hudson, New York to John Leslie and Julia (Roberts) White, Sr.

John graduated from Hudson High School in Hudson, New York and was a United States Navy veteran. He was employed by the French Paper Company in Niles, retiring after 40 years of service.

On July 26, 1964 in Niles, Michigan, John married the former Jane Elrod, who survives with their son, Greg White of Niles and one sister, Maryanne Roberts of Hillsdale, New York. John was preceded in death by one brother, Edward White and one sister, Mildred Decker.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, at the Halbritter Funeral Home. Burial will be private at Mission Hills, Niles.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
