Gaideski’s 21 helps Eddies deal Comets a loss

COLOMA — A big first quarter helped visiting Edwardsburg earn a 57-48 Wolverine Conference West Division boys basketball victory over Coloma Friday night.

The Eddies poured in 21 first quarter points, while limiting the Comets to just nine points.

Coloma outscored Edwardsburg 12-8 in the second quarter, but still trailed 29-21 at halftime.

The Eddies took a slim 42-38 advantage into the fourth quarter before pulling away to the win.

Jackson Gaideski scored a game-high 21 points to lead Edwardsburg, which also got 13 points from Isaac Vite and 12 points from Dante Razzano.

Auston Rushing tied for game-high honor as he scored 21 points for the Comets.
