Dowagiac blows by Shamrocks 78-47

BERRIEN SPRINGS — A 30-point third quarter helped the Dowagiac boys basketball team roll to a 78-47 Wolverine Conference West Division win over host Berrien Springs Friday night.

The Chieftains led 16-7 after one and 29-11 at the half.

Dowagiac (6-1, 2-1 West) poured in 30 points in the third to open up a 21-point advantage (59-28) heading to the fourth quarter.

Harry Reed led a balanced Chieftain attack with a game-high 17 points.

Keoante Blackamore added 13, while Daquan Brooks, Brandon Winchester-Jones and Tevin Fowlkes all finished with 12 points.

Dowagiac did not allow a single Shamrock to reach double digits in the contest. Robert Johnson led Berrien Springs with eight points.
