There was little doubt after one quarter who was going to win Friday night’s BCS West Division clash between host Brandywine and New Buffalo.

The Bobcats, ranked No. 10 in the latest Associated Press poll, led 18-4. By halftime it was 44-4 and Brandywine was on its way to an easy 57-7 win over the Bison in girls basketball action.

The win avenged last year’s loss to New Buffalo in the Class C District tournament.

Makenna Hartline led the Bobcats with a game-high 16 points, Brooke Smith added 14, while Michaela Hartline and Emily Erwin both finished with nine points.

Anna Barduck had all but one of New Buffalo’s points.
