Carol Ann Laurette, 66, of Cassopolis, passed peacefully Wednesday evening, Dec. 31, 2014, in her daughter’s residence, surrounded by her family.

She was born April 28, 1948, in Newark, New York to Harold and Lena (French) Laurette. Her parents preceded her in death.

Carol enjoyed crafts, especially knitting, crocheting, painting, playing computer games and fighting with her son in law during card playing. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids.

Carol will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by one daughter, Donna (James, Jr.) Finley of Cassopolis, two sons, Charles Burlee of Sodus, New York and Steven Burlee of Cassopolis; three grandchildren, James Finley III of Cassopolis, Erica Finley of Edwardsburg, Devon Burlee of Sodus, New York; and three great grandchildren Nollan Finley, Aiden Burandt and Liam Onofre.

Family and friends will gather Monday, Jan. 5, at 5 p.m. in the family residence on Jefferson Center Street for a time of sharing and storytelling.
