Almarie Scherer Tamblin, 89 of Lakeland, Florida passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014.

Almarie was born March 4, 1925, in Boydsville, Arkansas. She devoted her life to her children and her church.

She is survived by five daughters, Wanda Clements of South Bend, Indiana, Elaine Hensel of Port Richey, Florida, Chris Austin of South Bend, Indiana, Carolyn Palmer of Lakeland, Florida, and Janey Stratton of Lakeland, Florida; brother, James (Thelma) Simpson; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren

Almarie is preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Scherer, her second husband, Maurice Tamblin and grandson, David Clements III.

Funeral services for Almarie will be Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at 2p.m. at New Beginnings Ministries, 1189 Maple St, Niles, MI 49120. Visitation will be from 1:30-2 pm at New Beginnings Ministries. Burial will follow at Bertrand Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan, Michigan.
