William R. Terrell, 77, of Niles, passed away on Wednesday, November 26th, 2014 at Sunnybrook Hospice in South Bend, following an extended illness.

He was born on October 3, 1937 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late Carl C. and Lucille (Shirkey) Terrell.

After high school, William joined the U. S. Army, where he proudly served his country from 1954 until 1963. After receiving his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army, William worked as a mechanic, fixing every car imaginable. William also enjoyed fishing and watching television. He mostly loved spending time with his family and going to BBQ’s, where he could talk to anyone who would listen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings; Virgil Terrell, Mary Jones Alice Heart and Melvin Terrell.

William is survived by his family and caregivers Robert and Jackie Goins of Niles, three granddaughters; Kendra, Kira and Kassidy and a great-granddaughter Jaidyn.

In keeping with Williams wishes, a memorial service will be held in the spring at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan with full military honors.
