Rosemary Jackson, 68, of Niles, passed away at her home on Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, with her family by her side.
Rosemary was born on May 26, 1946 to Betty Brooks in Niles, Michigan.
On Feb. 27, 1965 Rosemary wed Jimmie Jackson at a ceremony in Niles. She enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles, traveling and camping, especially if she could go with her family. Her family was her biggest hobby, especially her grandchildren. She attended all of their sporting events, rain or shine.
She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Brooks; mother, Betty Stokes; loving stepfather, Harvel “Pete” Stokes; son, Daryl Jackson and brother, Henry Brooks.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, Jimmie Jackson of Niles; children, Katrina (Brad) Kay of Niles and Jimmie Jackson Jr. of Niles; daughter-in-law, Samantha Jackson of South Bend; eight grandchildren; one great granddaughter; brothers, Harry Brooks of East Jordan, Michigan, Delbert (Deborah) Brooks of Plymouth, Indiana and Fred Brooks of New Castle, Indiana; aunt, Thelma Antus of Edwardsburg; uncle, Clarence “Buck” Paddock of Jackson, Michigan; a special niece Sharon Stokes of Niles and many nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Hospice at Home for being very wonderful and caring to her and the family.
Rosemary has been cremated and her family will be holding a memorial service at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
