A man was transported to the hospital Sunday night after overturning his vehicle on the outskirts of Dowagiac, according to authorities with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Zachary Belin, 18, of Berrien Springs, was traveling west on Dutch Settlement Street around 11:30 p.m. when he ran off the roadway and overturned his vehicle near Okeefe Road. Deputies with the sheriff’s office responded to the LaGrange Township crash, along with responders with Life Care Ambulance.

Belin was transported to Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash, and the man was wearing his seatbelt at the time. The case remains under investigation.
