Brandywine to host blood drive Wednesday

Michigan Blood recently recognized Brandywine High School for saving lives in Michigan. On Wednesday, Nov. 12, the school will host its 20th blood drive with Michigan Blood.

Since 2008, the students and staff have saved more than 1,000 lives, under the guidance of Special Education Teacher Diana Curran. The community is invited to the Nov.12 blood drive. It runs from 7:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. inside Brandywine High School. Each person who donates can save up to three lives. All of the blood donated through Michigan Blood stays in Michigan. Michigan Blood is the sole provider of blood for Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles.
