Edwardsburg High School is presenting “The Curious Savage,” this weekend in its performing arts center.

The comedy, written by John Patrick, is about Ethel P. Savage, a woman whose husband recently died and left her with $10 million. The play contrasts the kindness and loyalty of psychiatric patients with the greediness and pride of “respectable” public figures.

By the end you begin to question the conventional definition of sanity.

Due to Edwardsburg hosting a Division 4 District championship game Friday night, the play will be presented on Saturday and Sunday only.

There will be two shows Saturday, the first being a matinee at 2 p.m. and the other at 7:30 p.m.

Sunday’s matinee begins at 2 p.m.

Cost is $7 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens or $25 for a family pass (five or more living in the same household). Children under three are free.

Tickets are available at the box office.
