According to their figures, Proos won by around two-thirds of the vote.

“I am truly honored to have the opportunity to continue serving the residents of Berrien, Cass and St. Joseph counties and carry our Southwest Michigan values to the state legislature,” said Proos. “I have been overwhelmed with the outpouring of support I have received throughout the campaign. I appreciate everyone who took the time to knock on doors with me or placed a yard sign in their front lawn or who braved the rain and the cold to vote for me.”

Proos, who celebrated at an election night victory party at the Inn at Harbor Shores in St. Joseph, won all precincts in Niles and Buchanan, according to unofficial results from electionmagic.com.
