Proos a dedicated public servant

Like many voters I am interested in what is best for our communities. The political system in Michigan and across the country has broken down.

Candidates sling mud and throw out lies at one another just to see what sticks. Without hesitation they attack their opponents on a personal level without regard for the effect that this has on families and entire communities.

Then, once elected, the real claws come out!

Here in Southwest Michigan we have strong values, common sense and family-oriented way of life. John Proos has been a dedicated public servant as our state senator. He has carried our Southwest Michigan ideology to the capitol and fought for our best interests. Knowing him personally I know all his issues are concerns — important concerns; strong schools, jobs, stable local economies and transparency in government.

He doesn’t waste time with personal attacks. He works with Republicans and Democrats in the legislature to get things done for our state. He doesn’t need to go through the learning experience that a new legislator would need to.

This Nov. 4, I urge your readers to join me in voting for John to continue serving southwest Michigan as our voice in the Michigan Senate.
