Jule A. Broussard, 62, of Cassopolis, also known as Yahzeed Abdul Mumeen, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, in his residence in the presence those whom he loved and who loved him.

Jule was born July 23, 1952, in Chicago to Alvin and Vera (Crockett) Broussard. He married Cherae Osborne in Cassopolis. She survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Marla Broussard-Johnson, and one brother Freddie Broussard.

Jule enjoyed the Del-fonics. He was a fan of “Da Bears.” Jule enjoyed being around his kids and family and friends. He loved him some Butterball.

Jule “Yahzeed” will be greatly missed by family and friends. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Cherae; four daughters, Jewel Broussard and Omesha Broussard, both of Chicago, Mia Broussard and Mariah Broussard, both of Cassopolis; one son, Jermaine Broussard of Lafayette, Indiana; nine grandchildren; one sister, Sharon (Tim) Luster of Chicago; one brother, Arthur Broussard of Elkhart; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends will gather Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, from 1 p.m. until time of funeral at 2 p.m. in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway Street, Cassopolis, with Minister Terry Williams officiating. The Wake Service, with a time for storytelling and sharing, will be held from 1:30 p.m. until 2 p.m.

Mr. Broussard will be laid to rest in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Cassopolis.

The family prefers contributions be made in Jule’s memory to the funeral home.
