Donald Thompson, 81, of Buchanan, passed away Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, Michigan.

He was born on Nov. 2, 1932, in Leachville, Arkansas.

On Dec. 30, 1977, he married Reva Marshall in Buchanan, Michigan.

Donald is survived by his wife of 37 years, Reva Thompson; daughter, April Thompson; step-daughters, Treva (Joe) Frank-Palfi, and Anita Goldberg; brothers, Delton Thompson, and David Thompson; sisters, Ola Roeder, Pat Barnes, and Peggy Moody; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Onita and Brothers; Delbert, Dayton, and Doyle Thompson,

Don was very dedicated to his family. He was a lifelong sportsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, western movies and biscuits and gravy. Don retired from Buchanan Steel after 35 years of service.

Funeral Service for Donald will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014 at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2014 with Pastor Paul Deeds from Bethel Apostolic Tabernacle of Buchanan officiating at Hoven Funeral Home.
