Hallie Ann (Wiker) Jessup, 76, passed away Sept. 26, after a lengthy illness.

Born on May 4, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Helen (Kraft) and C. Albert Wiker. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Julian and Arlan Wiker; and a sister, Pauline Sebastian.

Left to cherish her memory are three children, John (Sherri) Jessup of Marcellus, Jerry Jessup of Summerdale, Alabama, and Janine (Alan Lekarczyk) Jessup of South Bend; three siblings, Clayton (Shirley) Wiker of Michigan, Mary (Jim) Snow of Illinois and Josephine Wiker of Indiana; four grandchildren, Rene (Brett) Boyer, Tabatha (Scott) Pettit, Kristin (Tony) Leduc, and Charles Michael Harttung; four great-grandchildren, Brooke, MacKenzie, Mason and Jaina; and several nieces and nephews.

Hallie was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She devoted her life to family first. She was a gifted gardener and was active with the Dowagiac Garden Club for several years. She also enjoyed arts and crafts and taught many crafts classes over the years. She was the head cook at the Round Oak and retired after 20 years. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life service will be held at Sister Lakes Community Church, 67119 Michigan 152, Dowagiac on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 12 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. A luncheon will follow at the church.
