Casey Abrams opens Mendel Center series

BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The second season of the Lake Michigan College Mendel Center Mainstage Artists You Should Know Series kicks off with Casey Abrams on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 8 p.m.

America first fell in love with Casey during the 10th season of American Idol. His brilliant musicianship coupled with his infectious on-stage personality and soulful voice landed him in the top six of the perennially popular vocal competition.

Since then he has performed on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Live with Regis and Kelly,” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

He has also performed throughout the U.S. and internationally as part of the American Idol LIVE! Tour 2011.

Casey released his debut album, Casey Abrams, in 2012. His blend of upbeat pop rhythms, jazz bass lines and laid back melodies has led to a following of fans that spans generations. Many are calling him one of the best new modern artists on the scene.

The Lake Michigan College Mendel Center is located just 40 minutes from Kalamazoo and South Bend on the Lake Michigan College Napier Avenue Campus in Benton Township, Michigan, one mile east of I-94 (Exit 30) and one mile west of the US 31 Bypass (exit 24).
