Niles netters top Chieftains 7-1

The Niles and Dowagiac tennis teams tuned up for this weekend’s league tennis tournaments with a non-league match Tuesday.

The visiting Vikings defeated the Chieftains 7-1.
Dowagiac’s lone win came at No. 3 singles where Ethan Wagner defeated Curtis Thomas 6-0 and 6-1.
Niles will compete in the SMAC tournament on Saturday, while Dowagiac will take part in the Wolverine Conference tourney on Friday.
