Rocky Allen Reeves, of Marcellus, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at his home. He was born Oct. 26, 1949, in South Bend, Indiana to Winfred R. and Loraina L. (Morris) Reeves.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa and a son, Michael (Tracy) Reeves of Marcellus and a daughter, Debbie Reeves of Dowagiac. He is also survived by two brothers, Randall of Marcellus and Kerry (Kathy) Reeves of Dowagiac and a sister, Donna (Jim) Smith of Dowagiac, and three step-sons: Jeremy Cory of Cassopolis, Jonathan Corey of Dowagiac and David Fruk currently serving in the U.S. Air Force. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ron (Cheryl) Reeves of Dowagiac.

Rocky owned and operated his own business, Reeves Septic Service, for over 35 years. He always said he “was No. 1 in the No. 2 business.”

He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren, going to amusement parks and watching people enjoy life. He never met a “stranger.”

He especially enjoyed a few trips to Las Vegas and spending time at the casinos. But his favorite joy in life was to collect other people’s junk, which for him, were his treasures.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at the Volinia Baptist Church with Pastor Tom Stout officiating.
